Coach Lena has been running for 19 years. She is a Road Runners Club of America Certified Level 2 Running Coach, an American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. She's completed numerous 5ks & 10ks, more than a dozen half marathons, and 11 full marathons, including the Boston Marathon 3 times.
She has coached clients working to improve their Army 2-miler pace all the way to ultra marathoners completing 50 mile races. She's coached 5k, 10k, half, and full marathon groups for Fleet Feet Clarksville and coached the 2019 Fort Campbell Army Ten Miler Team.
She has a 10 year old daughter and 5 year old son and ran the entire way through her last pregnancy. She runs to stay healthy, happy, and humble for her children and often takes one or both of them along with when she runs.
