"I hired Lena to help me train for Marine Corps Marathon. I can say for certain that without her, I wouldn't have finished as strong as I did and I may not have even started the race. I ran the race 10 months after having my son and my recovery wasn't nearly what I hoped it would be after having successfully running throughout the whole pregnancy. I ran a marathon a few years ago, so I knew what to expect. By the time I was cleared to train for MCM, my window was much smaller and I struggled with adjusting the plan I previously used. I reached out to Lena and talked with her about my goals and limitations and she developed the perfect plan for me.
She realized that for me to last the whole race and to up my mileage in a short amount of time, I needed to run intervals. This was a huge mental challenge for me, but Lena expertly coached me through it. Throughout my 8 week training program, she was there for me from giving me the extra push and holding me accountable to helping me through the bad days by letting me vent and saying the right thing at the right time. She is truly inspirational and motivational! On race day, she was at mile 22 or so, just when I needed her. I crossed the finish line and met my goal! And I stuck to the plan - I ran intervals the entire race."
